Richfield Announces Proposed Summer Drill Program

June 2, 2009 - Richfield Ventures Corp. President Peter Bernier and VP of Exploration Dirk Tempelman-Kluit met in mid May with a group of geological advisors to plan drilling on its newly acquired Blackwater Project. The group represents more than 250 years combined experience with special knowledge of the deposit itself, the area, and the deposit type. The team selected locations and orientations for 15 new drill holes to test the Davidson Project. One of those present commented that this was the first time he had seen such a concentration of experience focused on drill target selection.

The property was optioned from Silver Quest Resources on March 18, 2009. The Dave Property adjacent and to the south was optioned from Jane Roderick, Rebekah Antkow, David Rozek, Benjamin Rozek and John Blackwell on May 8, 2009. Gold mineralization crosses the boundary between the properties. This represents the first time in two decades that the two properties will be worked on together.

A Notice of Work has been received by the Ministry of Energy and Mines to start the permitting process. Richfield plans its first phase of drilling to start mid to late July of 2009. Two of the 15 holes selected for this first phase will test the gold zone to depth; good gold values continue to the maximum depth drilled to date. Other holes will test continuity of gold mineralization between three known areas of mineralization, the Gold Zone, the Silver Zone and the New Zone. Still other holes will focus on the IP resistivity target which is interpreted to represent silicified altered felsic volcanic breccia. Two holes will test the up ice till geochemistry gold target identified in earlier work but never followed up.

The second phase of drilling is Contingent on the first phase. It is planned as a grid drilling program aimed at determining a resource estimate.

"The recent acquisitions and the consolidation of Richfield puts us in a strong position for an anticipated commodity market recovery."
